Development Timer

Developer, stop, fixer and wash, with a beep for every agitation.

  1. Developer

Time at 20 °C from the datasheet or the Massive Dev Chart. If your developer is warmer or colder, the timer corrects it.

  2. The rest of the process

Untick what you skip. The stop bath is agitated throughout and the fixer like Ilford.

  3. Timer

Each step starts when you press Start, after pouring in. The screen stays on while it runs.

Good to know

  • Pouring counts as developer time: the timer warns you 10 seconds before each step ends so you can start draining.
  • For the Ilford wash method (5, 10 and 20 inversions with fresh water), set the wash to about 3 minutes.
  • The temperature correction is an approximation, good for a couple of degrees. For dilutions and fixer tests, see Darkroom Chemistry.
