About
I'm Joe — the eye behind Analoxik.
In the summer of 2024, I was gifted an Olympus OM10 — and that moment marked the true beginning of my journey into film photography. Before that, I had taken photos with borrowed cameras, but I had never owned one. Never a reflex. Until then.
Since that first roll, I've been experimenting with light, grain, focus, and failure. Film taught me to slow down, trust the process, and embrace imperfection as part of the image. I mostly photograph nature, details, textures, and quiet moments. Sometimes macro. Always instinct.
Later I picked up a Lomography Fisheye for the joy of shooting freely and playfully, and in 2025 I added a mirrorless OM-5 — useful, but my heart remains with film.
Analoxik is my ongoing visual journal — a grainy, evolving, and sincere way of seeing the world. Roll by roll.
